This weekend we fled to the Simplon pass to try and escape the heat.
Saturday we went climbing at the Stalde crag, which is <30 minutes from the Simplonblick bus stop.
On the hike in we noticed a large group ahead of us... ah well... climbing is a social thing. ;-) This turned out to be mostly a group of teens and a few accompanying adults, was never disruptive despite the numbers.
Routes climbed:
- Tocha first pitch, 3c, normal shoes
- Taferna, 4c, normal shoes
- Werni first pitch, 4b, normal shoes
- Lisi and the second pitch of Werni, both 5a, climbing shoes
- Lochi, 5a+, climbing shoes
- Hospiz, 5a+, climbing shoes
Thanks to a good breeze, things never got too hot. It was great to be on good rock again; a nice day of climbing!
