There's been so little snow in Ticino this year that we can do an early trip down to Locarno. This time we actually work during the week and enjoy the area during the evenings and on two weekends.

On Saturday the 26th we did a hike from Riazzino to Vogorno via the Forcola. We had planned to do the Cima di Sassello on the way, but there was plenty of snow up on on the ridge and on the North faces, and we weren't at all prepared for that. So we just did a nice walk around the valley and then down to the lake (which was, amazingly, empty!).
